Thinking back, Sam's should have been the very first review I wrote for Dine.com. I have been loving this place since my undergrad days, and thats saying something. Sam's is a cultural icon of cuisine in Fresno. Everything that can possibly be made fresh is made fresh in the store, and the fragrance of Italian deli is mesmerizing. Sandwiches are excellent and affordable, there is a huge variety of meats and cheeses to choose out of the deli case, the stuffed peppers - ohyeah. The tiramisu is fantastic. Huge selection of imported wine, olive oil and pasta. Sam's is not likely to change if they haven't already, but one wonders what would happen if a Sam's di Nuovo opened up on Champlain and Perrin or somewhere in that neighborhood. Amazingly highly recommended for true deli dining in Fresno.
