The reviews from 2001 and earlier are spot on. Le Titi De Paris was the
epitome of progressive French restaurants. However, since the departure
of head chef Pierre Poulin, the resturant has lost a lot of its quality.
The good: -The ambiance is still outstanding. -The wine list is excellent and not overpriced for the top-end wines
-The waitstaff is friendly (but drastically understaffed for this
type of restaurant) -The salads and deserts are absolutely top notch!
The bad: -The menu is over-complicated and mixes flavors that have no business
being together -The ingredients don't taste as fresh as they used to -"Less is more" has been forgotten. On what was supposed
to be a simple filet, there were three sauces, three garnishes, and
four other items on the plate, only two of which really went with the
meat. -Both of our dinners were DRASTICALLY undercooked. The filet wasn't
even rare -- it was downright raw. The fish was so undercooked that it
was dangerous to eat. -Th ...

When someone else is going to pick up the tab. Someone wrote here to go
once in your lifetime. I think that's good advice.

Lunch or dinner, this is the finest restaurant in the NW suburbs.
It has not missed a step since head chef Micheal Maddox took over
the reins from Pierre Pollin. The wine list is extensive and reasonably
priced. The classic french food is always outstanding and the
exotic cheeses or chocolates are a great way to finish a memorable
dining experience. You will not find a better wait staff. Pricey
but worth every $.

Menu is very heavy on seafood/fish. We were actually disappointed
in the service....they hovered at the beginning of the meal as
they tried to "sell" the most expensive items....and then we
hardly saw anyone again as we waited for plates to be cleared and
drinks to be filled. The food itself was very good, and the desserts
were a standout.

When price is not an object and you are looking for that
something/someplace special, Le Titi de Paris is the place.
Beginning with service, outstanding presentation, excellent
to great preparation and overall ambience it is hard to beat.
I have used Le Titi over the years for entertaining special
clients and my biggest problem is that my clients always want
to know when we can go back. A true treasure amongst the top
restaurants in Chicagoland. Definitely 5 Stars +.

The food was so good that I even loved the fish, which I typically
can't even attempt to eat. We got the daily tasting menu (not sure
what it's exactly called), and it was just amazing. Very fancy
schmancy and fun to try. Wine was excellent, too.

Easily the finest restaurant I have ever eaten at. We had a
seven course meal that was superbly prepared and presented. The
staff is the most professional I have ever encountered.
When I visited Chicago 2 years ago and went there, their ahi
appetizer was the best I have ever had, and that includes
California where I live, and Hawaii.
