The teriaki steak is THE BEST I've ever had at a japonese steak house.
If you're into sushi, try the "Heat" roll. It has cream
cheese in it and is tempura baked, SO GOOD!!!

Both Sushi and Hibachi selections at this restaurant are outstanding.
This place has been around for over 20 years, and has improved with age.
After retiring the Sushi-bar in the early 1990's it is back with
a vengance. Outstanding nigirizushi and makizushi. Most nigirizushis
are served in TWO-piece orders. Sushi is offered at the Hibachi tables,
but be sure to get your order in fast; the sushi chefs are busy and orders
take some time.
Hibachi-wise, Fuji is head and shoulders above every other hibachi
house in the Chicago area. Food is extraordinarily tasty, and the show
is outstanding. The steaks, for example are ALL fillet mignon, and
are tender. This stands in stark contrast to the default-sirloin at
Hamada of Tinley, which is tough and uninviting. Filet at Hamada is
a hefty premium. Every chef at the restaurant is adept and affable.
This is a stark contrast to the aloof chefs at Hamada of Tinley, or the
beginners at Sapporo of Mokena.

Of all Japanese teppan/hibachi restaurants, Fuji has the best ginger
salad dressing! Their expansion of the sushi bar is great. Mmm... "Smokey
Bear" rolls!

Great service and better food! DO expect to pay a lot for dinner

While it sounds more expensive, everything is here. Good seafood
is pricless and so well prepared. The steaks are good, done perfectly
to order. Also -- preparation at tableside is fun, and mouthwatering.
The only downside?? So small. Come early, bring friends and have
fun!

If you enjoy eating at Japanese steakhouse restraurants, you MUST give this restraurant a try!!!!
Tucked away in a small strip mall on LaGrange Ave.,
Fuji's is the secret of the South-side. The service is
top-notch to match the food from start to fortune cookie. My favorite item on the menu is the Fuji Special.... a combination on steak, shrimp, lobster
tail ( with egg sauce ) , fried rice, fried vegetables,
mushrooms, and salad surrounded by soup and
ice cream ( AND a glass of plum wine with your dinner ) . Market price for this meal is usually $28-34.99 and
it is worth every penny!!!! If you leave hungry, it's your
own fault.
