Rippy's is a great little hidden treasure in the middle of Nashville, TN. On the corner of Broadway just when everyone is thinking country music and becoming famous, Rippy's provides a calmer, quiet place to think and to enjoy the active city crowd passing by. Of course, this was lunch. The pool tables placed strategically in the corners will attract a livlier crowd after dark; not to mention the live entertainment after 6:00 pm. The genre was barbeque with a twist. The decor was traditional with a little metal here and there for a sports bar feel. The dining room touted white linen tablecloths with a separate bar away from the sports bar. We ordered a veggie pizza with a base of barbeque sauce and we were delighted. The menu included everthing from B-B-Que chicken wings to a slab of ribs with all the trimmings. A multitude of brews were available, and the server, Gena was charming and savvy. Find this place and you will want to return.
