We made reservations at Nikai Sushi from an ad in the Jackson Hole newspaper.
Some in our party of four wanted to try it out even with no an recommendation.
Upon arrival the atmosphere was trendy and upbeat, however with a lacking
of personnel. No one was at the front desk to greet us and finally a waiter
seated us. Eventually our waiter asked for our drink orders and seemed
offended that we "just wanted water". After a hard first
day on the slopes we needed to hydrate first. My husband and I ordered
off the "if you don't speak sushi you don't know what
you are getting" entree order and the other party ordered from
the sushi list. Our waiter never asked if we had any questions or could
he be of help in anyway. Our party did eventually want a drink from the
bar, but had to wave another waiter down to order. Our entrees came timely
and were attractively prepared and most delicious. We hated to eat
our dinner without our friends, but they insisted. ...

Say what you want, this place is one of my favorite Sushi places I've
been to. Nice place, nice decore, excellent taste.

Sushi in Jackson? The old-timer are probably spinning in their
graves, if not at the spinning class at the club!!
Nice presentation & good taste, but there is just something
out of place eating sushi in this historical setting.
Maybe it's just me.....
