Alice the Matre'd here is the hardest working woman in Walnut Creek.
The Dim Sum is very good, and if you want a wide choice get here weekend
mornings, because that is when the carts roll and you get to see what
strikes your fancy. The rest of the time you can order off the dim sum
menu, but you have to know what you want. The best in catagory is still
Yang Sing in San Francisco, but this is a fine substitute closer to home
and half the price.
For the dinner menu, try the vegetarian imitation meat dishes, a little
offered chineses specialty. The ersatz mongolian beef was very good,
and the clay pot dishes ( meat this time) are fine.

This restaurant has the worst service!!! The restaurant was busy but
not at capacity on a Sunday night. Although the waitress was told that
I was in a hurry, I waited an hour before I got my first dish. Another table
that got there half an hour after I did got served before me! I ordered
the honey walnut prawns. As this is one of my favorite dishes, I know
that the lightly battered prawns are coated with a thin layer of mayonaise.
The prawns that I got had large clumps of mayonaise. I could barely taste
the prawns. I was there for 2 hours and I still didn't get the beef
stew clay pot I ordered. The waitress kept saying it was coming and when
I told her to cancel the order she ran into the kitchen to get it. The waitress
said the cook had to get the food out of the freezer and microwave the
food! The beef stew only had 3 pieces of meat and a few pieces of tendons.
The food is overpriced and the dishes were small. I even had to wait 10
minutes to get my credit card slip. ...

This is the best Dim Sum in this area. It has a very wide menu, excellent
service, wonderful dishes, and very fair prices. The only down
side is getting a table without a long wait. Call ahead! Virtually
every dish is as good as the best I have had anywhere outside of
Hong Kong. They push around carts and you can point to the dishes
you want. I eat here with my co-workers at least 3 times a month.
Virtually everyone loves it. Not only is it good, it is reasonably
priced and fun.
