With thousands of eating places along the Grand Strand, it is
rewarding to find three or four that offer consistent food creatively
prepared and served, a quiet atmosphere with a live pianist a
couple of nights a week, a huge list of wines by the glass, and attentive
but not lap-dog-like service. When you call for a reservation,
since The Charleston Cafe only seats 50, the time is guaranteed,
and you won't spend it loking over your shoulder worried about
the next people waiting to sit where you are. I wish I lived here;
I'd become a regular.
