When it first opened in vallejo...service was great. BUT as of 2007.....i'm
am not a fan and no longer do i go. YOUNG waiters that do not wait on you,
no water when you are in need, prices increased and serving sized have
decreased in the years. SLOWER service than before, so many waiter
and so much time waiting for food. IT is good.
IT's not too bad...but it is not as good as it was, and the service
has not improved from experience. last time going was in OCTOBER 2007.
I had a meat/veggie disgh. ALL veggie and NO meat. TRY take out? you still
have to wait. I really do not understand. What once used to be my exciting/fast/good
price THAI fix has gone to just another restaurant I drive by.
BUT if you are a THAI food lover, it's worth the drive to berkeley,
HECK drive to SACRAMENTO if there is traffic.

Cha Am = Rude Management

My boyfriend and I went to Cha Am (in Vallejo) for dinner on June
27, 2003 and left upset and hungry. After waiting for our food
for almost an hour, we decided to tell the person at the register
(because our waiter was nowhere to be found) to cancel our order.
The manager heard and said that our order is coming up without
even checking the kitchen. We told him that we had been waiting
for almost an hour and we'd rather leave. Instead of apologizing
he said, "No, no, no way. not an hour! Why don't you go
to McDonald's. Our grill is busy." I could not believe
a manager would say something this rude to customers and in front
of his employees. My boyfriend and I are not the type of people
that would make a scene out of a situation like this so all we could
do was leave. I would really advise the owner(s) of Cha Am to take
a good close look at his appointed manager because I think the
success of a bus ...
