Wonderful setting for any occasion! Have been here for drinks with friends (AWESOME drink menu), or out for a romatic evening! Last time out I had a basil ade to drink, which was muddled grapes and basil with vodka and club soda, delicious! My boyfriend had an old timey lemonade, for app's we had a cheese plate and calamari which was perfectly done, and then we shared a caeser salad, and for dinner he had a turkey burger whice are house made and I had a sea scallop entree which was to die for. perfectly plump scallops! then for dessert we had the chef's trio where you can pick three of the deserts on the list to sample. what a great idea! service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is great. they have a formal dining room, a pub, front & side porches and a new dining area back by the canal. They also have live music on the weekends in the pub and quaint little rooms if you decide to spend the night. This place is a real find, and good for any budget. Give it a tr ... more

The restaurant offers a gorgeous view of the Delaware River. The lobster bisque is delicious. As an entree, I really like the bouillabaisse. You don't usually find that on most menus, and it's chock full of seafood and vegetables. The prices are a little high, but with the view and the service, it's worth it, especially for special occasions.

This old stagecoach inn overlooks the Delaware River and the Roebling designed Bridge over it-- Stunning! The building is stone, and the tavern room especially is charming, with a working fireplace that's going constantly in the cold months, and tin embossed ceiling and walls above the wainscoting. There's a "fine dining" room as well. I'm not sure if they still do, but they used to rent rooms B & B style upstairs, and friends who have stayed there say it's quite charming. <br> Food is very good. Different menus for the dining room and tavern room. Choices in the dining room range from Pasta Primavera to Steak Diane to some of the Chef's creations, which are usually very creative and wonderful. Tavern offers same as dining room with the addition of 1/2 portions of the dining entrees at reduced prices, burgers (which come the way you order them-- NOT overcooked!), at least one salad choice (EXCELLENT Caesar salad!) and ... more
