My friend wanted to impress me I told him I wanted some pasta so
he went to Maggiano's and bought me a wonderful dish (unknown
name) it was so delicious the office was scented with little Italy
every one would walk around and said, what is that. I said i dont
know what the dish is but I got it from Maggiano's. They were
so impressed and left with desire to eat here. Thanks for wonderful
food. Delicious!

Patrons rave about this classic in the Galleria area. Huge portions
of homemade pastas are created using authentic Italian recipes
that you'll swear are "just like Mama used to make."
There's plenty for sharing, you'll probably take half
of it home with you. Fresh, crisp salads are meals themselves,
but have one with a house specialty like lasagna with meat sauce,
or spinach and chicken manicotti. The shrimp oreganta and linguine
with clam sauce are also popular. Prime steaks are on the extensive
menu, the seafood is always fresh (the lemon-herb swordfish
is a great choice) and the desserts are excellent with a rich coffee
at the end of your meal... if you have room

LOVE this place. Best if you don't eat for 2 or 3 days before
you go, however, because you will eat more in one sitting then
you have at all thanksgivings combined. They offer a family meal
which is basically a buffet of main courses. Even take an EXTRA
one home if you'd like. All top quality food, but a little
slow. That's not bad though, gives you a little time to digest.

In a city with so many Italian restuarants (epsecially of the
old-school "red sauce" variety), it's easy
for one place to be undistinguishable from another. Maggiano's
manages to stand out, due in no small part to:
1) A great location (just north of the Galleria)
2) Good food with generous portions (entrees come in half-orders
or full-orders) at prices that are quite reasonable
3) A helpful, friendly waitstaff
4) a lively but not-too-loud atmosphere, and
5) a "piano guy" at the bar
