sometimes loses track of these things, I think. CJs has not changed in that time, and is not likely to change for years
to come. Still good burgers and burritos, still stale chips on the table.
Friendly people, though, and I make a point of stopping here for lunch
when I am in the neighborhood. Tri-tip tacos - yes indeed. The best.

CJ’s Tambien is a little tiny place on the main street of Orange
Cove, and it is excellent if you can work up the courage to get in
the front door. CJ’s is burgers, sandwiches and mexican food,
and they have a really amazing menu – it takes up practically one
entire wall. The burgers are very good, big and juicy and topped
with great things like chile verde, fried eggs, salsa, you name
it. Anything with tri-tip is going to be incredibly good. Prices
are very reasonable, but beware the chips and salsa on the table
– it seems like sometimes they get left out for a night or three.
