This place is an owner operated restaurant. That means, the hostess and chef are the owners and the quality and care into their food reflects that. Service was great, my friend and I waited a bit more than usual but the wait was worth it. They use organic beef so the meat was higher quality than at other restaurants and it was delicious. It literally melts in your mouth. I've been here a few times and pretty much anything is great. Always trust the waiter/hotesses advice. She's terrific. The place is a husband and wife team and they always put the customer first. Decor is very nice. A bit compact, but cozy is a better word. Great place to bring a date for a special night out. Be prepared with some dough as this place can get a bit pricey for berkeley... $60... not including wine...

This place is an undescovered gem! The interior is beautifully decorated offering a warm, romantic atmosphere. Although the mood is unpretentious and casual the food is top notch! The owners are also the chefs. They use produce from their own organic garden, as well as organic meats and dairy products.
