Some people think I'm crazy, but I put FOOD on my list of "things more important than anything else in the world". When I heard about the Chop House in Ann Arbor, I knew that I must go and visit it. I hoped a flight out there and made it just in time to catch some dinner. Lovely place. There was a waitress named Margaret. She's just lovely. She didn't believe I flew out from the South to eat there. Hopefully now she'll realize that I wasn't joking. Margaret, if you're reading this, I have strong feelings for you. I thought you might feel the same after you brought me my second cup of COMLIMENTARY coffee. We shared something special, didn't we?

The Chop House is the best (and most expensive) restaurant in Ann Arbor. What sticks out most is the service. They do that multiple server coordinated delivery that is so impressive. Of course the food is great too!

The food is outstanding in every way. Service has been a bit spotty in the past four visits. The Kobe beef is Kobe style, not really Kobe beef, which would be prohibative due to price in this area. This is worth the price for a special night.

Simply the best place for Mothers Day brunch on the peninsula. This place is a landmark in Monterey, all the big wigs have been dining here for years. Excellent wine list, impeccable service, and great food to boot. The glass room is lovely.
