This little tavern, the only one near the Richmond Beach waterfront,
has survived Prohibition, the gentrification of RB, and efforts
by locals to close it down. Begun during Prohibition to serve
the "resort trade" as a cafe, when America returned to sanity,
it became a tavern. The current owner/manager/bartender makes
wonderful soups, very good sandwiches, and generous portions
of each. And Sunni and Metro, the chocolate lab and husky who roam
back and forth between pool table and dart board, will always
be happy to let you pet 'em.
Pros: Fantastic soups, Great sandwiches, Lovable dogs
Cons: Smoking permitted, Service a tad slow
