Several locations in the Houston area. All are first class - great food,
sometimes a little noisy. Try the shrimp brochette - I think they call
it La Mer. Fabulous!
Pricy for lunch as the everage entree is over $12.

The best tex-mex in Houston! It's a little loud on the weekends
but the food is great. Chips and salsa are good, you can watch them make
the tortillas. The wait staff at this location generally is lacking
good service. The fajitas are excellent, and the guacamole exceeds
them all. You need to ante up a couple of bucks for their queso though.
Margaritas are good frozen but are too watered down on the rocks.

In its strip center location just off the Southwest Freeway,
Lopez's moderate prices, casual atmosphere and attentive
waitstaff make it a neighborhood favorite. Expect a lineup of
the traditional Tex-Mex favorites--fajitas, combination
plates and taco salads. House specialties include a jazzed-up
beef tostada, creamy guacamole and cheese enchiladas. Margaritas
get high marks with the regulars.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff, and good prices. Great
place to take the entire family. The fajitas are very good and
you get plenty of them. Their portions are generous and you even
have enough to share.

A great tex-mex place. My kids love the enchiladas at this place.
The rice and beans are great. Fresh tortillas are my favorite.

One of the better upscale but still casual Tex-Mex places. Food
is very good with good presentation. A bit pricier than most Mexican
Restaurants but worth it. The Superior platter is more food than
a normal human can eat and is great.

It doesn't get any better than this! If you have the extra
money that everyone seems to schill out at Pappasitos - this is
one of the top three in Houston. The service is excellent. Servers
are polite, quick, and rarely mess up an order. Even with the post-church
mob on Sundays packing the place to the rafters, it is easy and
enjoyable to get in and out. I recomend the chicken fajitas (the
only place that makes them better is Cafe Adobe off of Westheimer)
and the margaritas aren't bad either (again - only second
to Cafe Adobe (best in Houston for two or three years).
