We believe that this is the best restaurant in the area - consistently
good. Most recently (9/12/08) four dined here. The Duck Medallions
were excellent. The salmon and rock fish outstanding.

We've returned here several times since October '01
and still highly recommend this resyaurant. There's much
to be said about a chef-owned restaurant - particularly in an
area that is seasonal. The food and service are usually consistent
and the chef-owner tends to take pride in what is being offered.
The Yacht Club offers live music (soft jazz) on weekends (in season). There
are good restaurants in Chesapeake City, but this one is - in our
opinion - the best of the lot.

Open about a year, we've had lunches and dinners here and haven't
had a disappointment. Seats about 50 and is chef-owned (Gary).
The house wines are from Chile and are excellent; the wine list
is average but expanding. A very small bar (about 4 seats). Dinner
entrees feature seafood (after all , this is the Eastern Shore
of Maryland), beef, fowl, and excellent lamb chops. Fridays
and Saturdays they have a jazz group.
There are now 3 upscale restaurants in South Chesapeake City.
Of those, this is the least expensive and the service is most attentive
and personal. Though not overlooking the water (the C&D Canal),
this is well worth the experience. Suggest reservations for
dinner.
They're open 7 days/week and plan to close for the month of January,
'01.
