I have dined here several times for lunch and dinner. Its the perfect place for a business lunch or dinner before a show. The Service is always outstanding, and the wine list phenomenal. The pasta is always cooked perfectly, al dente, and the ambiance is charming and quaint. Its painted to feel as though you are in a small Italian Village. The nooks where you are seated all have Italian names. I highly recommend the chicken vesuvio and the chicken marsala, cooked perfectly every time. The Village is a landmark in Chicago, it has been there for over 80 years, I will definitely continue to come back.

We took our top accounts there and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Service was excellent! Food was excellent. It was the place to be. It was a little on the noisy side but great other than that.

I have dined here on several occasions. This is a traditional italian with superb service, which clearly does not comprimise on freshness of thier ingedients and cooking methods.

I like the Pizzas, also the wines. The Village is the best Italian place in the Loop, as well good place to impress a date, but, frankly, you can do better in the neighborhoods, especially with your pocketbook.

great old fashioned italian place. The food and bread were excellent.

The service wasn't memorable, but the servers were the classic

old, friendly Italians. Kinda looks like it has been the same

for decades and I think it has. A fun place to see a traditional

restaurant.

Love the Italian Village, the atmosphere and the wonderful Italian food. I enjoyed the Italian Village for the first time, about 40 years ago and I enjoy it as much today! It is a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or an ordinary night out. The service is great and the food delicious.

The food I had was pretty good, if not original. I guess I was going for good standard italian and not anything wild. I

would recemmend it.

Although this is a chain, we have found the service to be exceptional

and really enjoy the romantic atmosphere here. The many times we have come back have always found a multitude

of people that must share our enjoyment of good italian food at

very reasonable prices. Especially nice is the hot bread sticks

and salad served with each meal.... Making myself hungry just

thinking about it.

The food, well what can I say? It was excellent. Only topped by the service. We went there for one of my special birthdays, adn we had a party of 4. They treated us like something special. It was a great time. The steak was so tender and juicy, that I would really recommend to have it. The other entrees were very good too. The different appitizers were scarfed up immediately. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellant food, a Chicago classic that is a must for any out of towners. Wines are diverse and first rate.

I've only eaten in the Village (upstairs). I used to go there once in a while when I worked around the corner. I thought it was pretty overrated, but then I went there during workday lunchtimes, when the servers were harried (and didn't mind letting you know how busy they were and how much you were putting them out by showing up). The food was reasonably good, but there are PLENTY of better Italian places all over the city and suburbs. They seemed to have a tough time cleaning their silverware and water glasses; I've never exchanged so many at any other restaurant. Good thing I always went on a vendor's dime.
