I agree, i passed by them a million times going "Whaat?" and never knew it was such a tasty indian place. Great Chiken Tikka masala, naan, buffet, appatizer sampler, mango Lassi ^.^. Everything i've had there has been delicious, good portions, fairly afforable compared to some of the yuppie-crowded rockville/bethesda indian food places. I reccomend it if you like indian food.

From the outside, you'd probably walk by while grumbling that you were starving, but if you happen to look up, see the awning, and step inside...You would be glad you did. The menu doesn't offer the traditional "sampler" dishes that seem so common among other East Indian restaurants, but there are many good choices available. During the lunch hour and on Sundays they offer a buffet with 8 or 9 items, all of which are tasty and spiced well. The service is good, and the portions on the ala carte menu are more than ample. The atmosphere is, unfortunately, about as good as the name, but I'd walk half a mile in the pouring rain to enjoy their chaat!
