Long ago the land on which Restaurant Indigo now sits was the working
Indigo Plantation. Today, right next door to the restaurant
is one of the city's finest bed and breakfast inns, House
on Bayou Road. A perfect weekend? A room at the inn and dinner at
Indigo, where you can choose from an elegant contemporary interior
surrounded by fine art, or a temperature controlled veranda
that overlooks the inn's lush landscaping.

The setting may convince you to go, but it is the food that will
bring you back. In its first incarnation, Indigo was a bit formal,
pricey and "serious." These days it is accessible,
cushy and easier on the pocketbook.
