In my opinion, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Anchorage. Both the mild & hot salsas for the chips are very flavorable. Margaritas are great. Everything on the very extensive menu is done nicely - very flavorful. The carne advocado (did I spell that right?) is awesome, and the chili relenos are never soggy. Yes, it can be busy (because it is good!) but we've never had to wait that long for a table. Oh, and very generous portions (for those who care about that!)

I find the food to be great but if you go to the Gallo's by the Dimond Center you'd probably find the bar overpowering and very distracting from the restaurant area.
