Who would expect a restaurant of this class in "lowly" Las
Cruces?
Excellent menu, excellent wine list, excellent presentation and
excellent food, and at unbelievably low prices.
Menu changes seasonally, and always has plenty of choices, but don't
expect tacos and enchiladas. This is truely a "continental restaurant"!

I dined at Red Mountain the other night and I was more impressed than
I have been in a very long time. I am originally from out of state and did
not know that this type of dining was available in Las Cruces. The menu
was seasonal and included a good selection from the land and from the
sea. I was flabergasted when my entree came out. The presentation was
out of this world. I could have easily paid a lot more for my food in a bigger
city. It was well worth it. By the way the wine selection is quite extensive.
Will be back maybe tonight!

I've only eaten breakfast here one time... Because I couldn't
get a simple eggs, toast, and bacon and home fries breakfast off the
menu, I simply ordered it individually...
The 2 slices of bacon were so thin you could literally see through them...
LOLOLOL. I'm not kidding! The eggs were good as were the home fries...
But the toast was actually one slice of bread cut in half...
Coffee was outstanding...
Overall, not worth the expense although the food was good. I guess I
should have ordered two of everything and then I would have been satisfied...
LOL.
Jack.

I recently dined at Red Mountain Cafe for dinner with some friends and
was truly impressed. The atmosphere was fine dining and the staff was
extremely friendly. THe food was out of this world. I did not know that
Las Cruces was even aware what some of these things were.

I recently went to the establishment (November 2004) for lunch
with some business associates. The food was quite good, though
the establishment was small and packed. They have fairly new
owners who have been revamping the menu etc. Not bad at all!

I believe that Red Mountain Cafe is absolutely wonderful, they
offer many different sandwiches and soups and their coffee is
delightful. My husband and I eat at RMC weekly and we love the atmosphere
and food. Especially the outdoor patio.

I go here for coffee rather than food, but they do have an interesting
menu. In particular, once a week they have International Night
where they feature food from a different country (e.g., Ethiopia).
Given the lack of international restaurants in Las Cruces, this
provides for good variety.
