La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

La Hacienda's manager, Jesus A. Loya, promises "the finest and most authentic Mexican food in Ridgeland." And he keeps his word. From the Chips and Salsa to the Antojitos (Appetizers) through the Especiales de La Hacienda everything is deliciosos. My favorite Appetizer is Gran Nachos, topped with La Hacienda's special chicken, spicy beef, beans, rice, chile con carne sauce, ranchera sauce, melted cheddar and monterey jack cheese, sour cream, guacomole, and jalepenos. Muy delicioso pruebelos! The Acupulco Salad with tender baby shrimp is the best Ensalada, and the Grilled Chicken Salad comes in a close second. If you like Tacos Mexicanos, you'll love the Hacienda Taco Sampler, featuring four different kinds of tacos with delicious ranchera sauce, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The Enchiladas Tapatias are exceptional, all four of them. From the La Parrilla section of La Hacienda's Menu comes the "King of the Fajitas, " Fajitas Especiales (Beef, Chicken or Mixed). You'll never foget them. And the Flautas Grandes are really good and very appropiately named. Muy grande! But my personal favorite is the Chile Relleno. Jesus takes a green poblano pepper, stuffs it with perfectly spiced meat and cheese, dips it in egg batter, fries it to a beautiful golden brown, places it on a plate, and covers it with ranchera sauce, serving the finished Chile Relleno with sour cream on the side. La Hacienda's Chile Relleno is the best I've had anywhere in the United States. It's why I prefer La Hacienda over all other so-called Mexican restaurants in the South. Most of La Hacienda's Entrees are served with Rice and Beans. There's a special, very economical Menu for los chiquitos (the little ones). And Postres? The Chocolate Treat is the dessert of all desserts, a large chocolate brownie, served on a hot sizzling skillet, topped with delicious chocolate fudge, rich vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. La Hacienda is fast becoming my home away from home. And if you enjoy fine, authentic Mexican cuisine, La Hacienda is the place for you, too.
