Jazz has declined in quality over the years.
It may be some consolation that they can still bring in the tourists
who don't mind paying inflated prices for bad food.
Go for the live music - but go elsewhere for a meal.

I am cajun and Jazz has authentic cajun food complete with the sights
and sounds of the French Quarter as well. Thank God I found it, it makes
my move here after Katrina not only bearable but enjoyable. They even
have some fellow cajun waiters! They also have great live music upstairs
in The Parish after dinner. Wow, who books their music?

I love Louisiana cookin. Jazz is something I don't love.
I wouldn't even consider it to be something I like. But if
you are down on sixth and have had a couple of drinks and are looking
to throw down some cash eat here. The food will be fantastic after
a couple of drinks. But then again youll get your credit card bill
next month.

leave (!) an i really mean it, leave if they want to take your order.

This is a great place to have dinner before going barhopping on
6th Street. Live jazz and blues on weekends and some weeknights.
Good catfish and great crawfish etouffee. Excellent selection
of Louisiana beers.
