There is a reason why, year-after-year, the locals vote Captain Gus as having the best cheesesteaks. My wife & I travel a lot, and I often try cheesesteaks in other places, and none can compare. In fact, Captain Gus' cheesesteaks taste much better than the famous ones from Pat's or Geno's in Philly. Granted, theirs are larger, but you pay more for them too. An added bonus for Gus is that everytime I have seen the restaurant inspections in the paper, he scores a 99 or 100 (out of 100). That means that this is a safe and sanitary place to eat as well.

One of my favorite places to eat. Best cheesesteaks in town, if not the best I've ever tasted. Plus the captain is extremely nice and the food is low priced.

THINK NOT!!! THE BEST DAMN CHEESEBURGERS/STEAK IN THE WORLD! <br> This stuff taste good going down, but "watch out" you maybe running to bathroom later on after eating this crap they all food at Captain Gus's. <br> Yuk!

Absolutely the best damn cheesburgers in the world! The Captain is a true hero to a lot of Lancaster natives and has the greatest cheeseburger/steak shop that will ever exist. Enough said.
