Went with co-workers for a very nice time. Hard to talk any business
in the noisy, family-oriented restaurant (and that was OK with me!).
Good atmosphere, great pizza - I'll certainly go back.

We were passing by this restaurant with our kids and decided to try it.
The food was ok, the deep dish pizza was nothing special. Perhaps our
taste buds have gotten better over the years. I got the impression from
reading the reviews on the restaurant afterwards that the pizza may
have been much better in the past.
The worst thing about this restaurant however was the service, it was
terrible! Our table did not get any water (at all), it was difficult
to get ahold of the waiter, the wait staff was rude and could not be troubled
to get enough silverware for our table.
When my wife finally did manage to order some water (we had to ask twice),
they charged us $3 for a glass of tap water! Unbelievable! We have visited
many restaurants but this is the first time something like this has
happened. The restaurant is also not very child friendly, there is for example
no children's menu and I generally did not get the impression they
liked having kids (and people usually comment us on how ...

The deep dish pizza is numero uno! A great depth of flavors in the pizza
sauce. It's obvious that fresh ingredients are always used. Truly
outstanding food!

Great crust, very fresh toppings (generous!), highly recommended.

This basement-level pizza joint, the smaller of the two Ike Sewell
originals (Pizzeria Uno being the other). Waits can be long and
service surly, but the pizza keeps bringing them in. Don't
bother with anything else on the menu except for the vinegar-heavy
salad, which somehow works well with the salty, cheesy pizza.
A great carryout option, too, if you're within striking
distance.

this is why chicago is known for its pizza. You will have to wait
a while, but it is definately worth every minute. If you have a
chance you have to have the pizza here

Ok, so this place may be a tourist spot, but the pizza is really
good. Of course to us down-staters, we've never had a Bad pizza anywhere in Chicago.

Be prepared for a long wait. Thankfully, the wait is worth it.

seat and deal with it!

Tourist Pizza spot number one! Go ahead and spend you money on
these places -- but next time you come to the city search out some
of the real pizza joints that are catering to tourists -- the pizza
is better and the service is more personal!
