Loved the atmosphere...btu serene. Lots of choices with good descriptions. Servers made sure that I knew what I was ordering so that I wouldn't be disappointed. Sushi was fresh and well presented. Definitely worth repeat visits.

Highly reccomend, but not on a busy Friday or Saturday evening! The quality and selection are excellent, but the prices are high. It is good to allow you try many different dishes, but I found I end up paying 4 times what I normally would for dinner, so order carefully.

with a wooden sign on it. If you don't know where you are going, allow for ten minutes or so to find the place. Having said that, the food is exceptional. The atmosphere, top-notch. I have been told that this is the restaurant to which the Japanese ambassador takes the occasional guest.

Make a reservation. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a while. Going to DC anytime soon? Make the reservations before you get there. <br> Superb and very upscale asian food. Spices are just so, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Stay away from the appetizers in large quantities; you could fill up and miss a spectacular dinner. Desserts were also just superb. Will become a favorite of ours in DC.

We went here for my birthday a couple of years ago. It was wonderful. They made us feel like special guests. And the food was to die for (or to age another year for)! Mostly simply prepared, but a real fusion of tastes. Our favorite was the fried spinach appetizer -- crisp pieces of spinach which tasted fresh and had a wonderful texture. I'd go for that and a drink every evening if I could.

Fantastic! The food, the service, the atmosphere... I'm a total sucker for great service, and this place has it. I love it when the staff knows all the wines! The food is exceptional; I wouldn't have expected any less from the chef behind DC Coast. I can't say any more than what the first reviewer said ~ this place is not to be missed.
