Not a big fan of cajun cooking and wasn't happy with the service
either. I suppose it would be worth a shot if you are big onto this style
of cooking.

Fun, somewhat cramped atmosphere at the
location on Wabash street, haven't tried the new Michigan Avenue
location. Good sized portions. The line at lunchtime will scare
you, but it's usually at most a 15 minute wait. Counter seating
is usually available when tables are not. Saturday's are usually
no-wait. Dinner on First and Third Friday's of the month. Cash
only. Try the gumbo and/or the Louisiana Soul Deluxe plate.
Desserts are only ok.

I really ejoyed shrimps.. but the crab cakes had a little to much
sage in them for me , I could not even try to choke them down my throat
with two glasses of water. Koa

Not a big fan of cajun food. They have tons of hot sauce and are very
funny to read while you wait for your food. When I went we had soso
service, but the made up for it with free desert. To top it off the
food wasn't as I expected, it was tasty and I got plenty to
make sure I wasn't going home hungery.

Cajun Food. They have a selection of hundreds of hot sauses on
the wall, plus half a dozen on each table. They encourage you to
spice it up. Its one place where you do not tell them to make-it-as-hot-as-you-can,
because they can crank it up. The only drawback is its usually
crowded and requires a considerable wait.

Gotta love this place! If you've ever been to New Orleans,
this will remind you. The gumbo is first rate, the specials usually
quite interesting and the selection of hot sauces is unmatched.

I go there a lot however I only ever have one thing the Jimmy Feed
Me. A collection of several courses of the house specialities
I cannot finish it! but the tastes and textures the impeccable
service, the chef/owner pouring the sherry on my turtle soup
(which is beyond wonderful) is not to be missed. For those who
eschew the MOUNDS of food in the Jimmy Feed Me there is the Jimmy
Junior Feed Me which is similar with fewer courses. Of course
there is always an excellent ala carte menu and the hot sauce collection
is not to be missed.

Please note there are *two* Heaven on Seven's now. The
originalone downtown is still lunch (and one evening a month, I
think). However, stay with the one downtown. Even though the lines are
long, they go fairly quickly. Po' boys and softshell crab
sandwiches are my favorite!
