This is a unique establishment that goes against all of the rules
and still comes up a winner. First, the eatry is housed in a log
cabin in the upscale community of Edmond. It doesn't sound right
but it works.
The menu is wood grilled beef, lamb, and seafood. Remember this
is steak country. Beef - it's usually what's for breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and snacks in Oklahoma but the other entrees hold their
own against the mighty cow at this place. The menu offerings are
limited but those we sampled are very well prepared.
The bread is called Ciabatta. It's outstanding and they sell
it by the loaf to take home. Yes...we did.
My partner had the shrimp dish cooked in a sweetened sauce and
a cup of the potato au gratin soup. Both top of the line. I had the
fresh salmon sandwich with avacado and bacon. Delicious.
Remember this is a place that goes against the curve. With my sandwich,
I had caesar potato salad. It sounded horrible...it was great.
