We went to Carmine's for dinner after a show. The food is incredible, the prices are great. Everything is served "family style" in huge portions. Reservations are needed well in advance on weekends. We'll go back again!

HUGE PORTIONS, SLOWER than AVERAGE SERVICE, GREAT FOOD. I love this place with a group of people... its loud, fun, and soo NYC and has a very neighborhood feel. Its definitely a must go to. MAKE A RESERVATION!! its usually packed and when there is a trade show in town you ain't getting through the door. Its Southern Italian FAMILY STYLE (HUGE) eating at its best. AND GREAT NEWS... for local Rhode Island Diners. There is now a "Carmine's" at Twin River. Same portions, same atmosphere minus the new York Taffic and same great food. Hope you liked my review. Awesome food! It's all done family style... so bring a group. You need a group in fact just to make reservations. They're pretty quick. Good service. Not cheap. But the food is amazing! And there is a ton of it!

Carmine's was recommended to us [girlfriends] by a city policeman. I wish I could thank him again for the wonderful experience of the atmosphere and incredible food. Yes ... we did have to wait over an hour ... but it was worth every minute of it!! We had a fun bartender[Fred]while we were waiting, that passed the time for us while having some good laughs. The waiter's bent over backwards to serve you. It was a memorable week-end indeed!

Excellent italian food in the heart of Times square! Hearty italian fare, with family sized portions at reasonable prices. Great place to bring your family or go in groups. Not an ideal date place due to the noice levels (feel like you are in the middle of times square) and due to the enormous serving size! Don't forget to bring your tums because the heavy, garlicky food can get to you! The fried calamari is really good!
