This is one of the best places in Carmel. Service is outstanding...very quiet, relaxing place. Food is awesome, best deserts in the area. It's a must! We were there for our two anniversaries so far, we'll go again!

Loved this place on our trip! After walking out of Casanova's, it was a wonderful respite to find this lively, beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service. I've been to the one in Beverly Hills also, and they're just great places.

Loved the Il Fornaio in San Jose. This one, although in a beautiful setting in a very romantic town, didn't strike me as nicely. I think it might have been the tiny ants crawling up the wall next to me. That aside, the meal was very nice and the staff took very good care of us. The food is excellent as always, but those ants wanted a taste as well....

Il Fornaio, located inside the Pine Inn on Ocean avenue, is a good place for a quiet dinner with your honey. There is a circular, open-air dining area where you can watch the stars as you dine, or eat inside the dining room. There is also a bar if you want to have some cocktails while you wait to be seated. It is a great place to have a private party with an upscale menu.
