Nice, rustic homey decor, like you're in a lodge out in the woods.
They have a really good beef tenderloin with a Jack Daniels sauce. This
place seems more guy-ish to me, but I still had a good time.

The food was quite excellent although the portions were small. The
spinach salad with feta cheese and the four cheese ravioli with the
cream sauce were both delicious (not too much garlic), and the chardonnay
was wonderful. The service was surprisingly mediocre though, and
the tables are too close together. We could here everything the people
at the next table were saying which is disruptive when you are trying
to have your own conversation. I would give it very high marks for food
but the lack of good service brings my recommendation down. If it is
just good food you want, and you aren't too hungry, this is an excellent
place to eat. If service means a lot to you in terms of your overall enjoyment
of a meal, this place may not meet your expectations....although you
may get a different waitperson.....

Kind of rustic western decor, and better than average food. Service
was the best thing about this place. Desserts were much better than
the food, overall. Drinks were good, as well. Lots of wine, and a few
good and varied choices.

Beautiful lodge setting, in the middle of downtown Chicago.
The food is very good and the service friendly. They also have
a large bar area. The thing that stands out in my mind about the
Blackhawk is the deserts. I recall the deserts to be outstanding
and I am not much of desert guy.

The decor is warm and inviting. The food and service is
outstanding. Like a true lodge, the Black Hawk has a beautiful stone
fire place in front of a large wood bar.
You have to try the roasted pork chop, it is the best in town. My
mouth is still watering from the last time I was there. I was there
last night as a matter of fact.
Say hello to Ann the bartender. She will remember you the next time
you come in.
