For Central Texas - this is very good seafood. Nice atmosphere, good service and quality food. Not too pricey. Good for lunch to have a quite discussion and good eats.

Outstanding food, especially the steaks that are somothered in lump crab meat, a rareity in Texas. Located in a traditional Texas building, it is elegant with an outstanding variety on the menu. They have also opened an outdoor dining area to expand the seating, but it can be a bit hot during the summer. They DON'T take reservations so it can be a long wait if you come during prime time. The cuisine is a blend of cajun (very upscale) with top of the line meats and fish and desserts. I have never heard of anyone being dissapointed at Gumbos. They also just opened a new location in downtown Austin. Thats the scoop!
