Awesome place and very local. Good service, great bar, and very
good food, almost always! I have been dining here since I was a
child and drinking here since I became a man. This place is a staple
in our community and family run the way it should be! Usually the
wait is short, if it's the weekend, the bar area is plentiful
w/a lot of friendly service to help the time by. I just had the BEST
burger EVER at this place. It was special tonight. Good eats,
good peeps, and good drinks!!!!

You'll have a good meal here. I have always had the pastas
and loved them. The floor is small so you probably don't want
to discuss anything too personal otherwise about 5 other tables
will know it too.

We went to the Monroe Hotel restaurant because it was close to
where we were at the time, but we all (but one) ordered the "Black
Diamond Steak" because of another review here on Dine.Com
that said "the Black Diamond Steak is to die for."
Well the Black Diamond Steak isn't to die for in my opinion,
in fact it is flank steak, the cheapest in the house at the Monroe.
It was well prepared considering the cut of meat, but a really
cheap cut of meat. We were suspicious when we saw it was the cheapest
steak, but we trusted Dine.com. One of our party had Manicotti
which was better than average. The chicken wings ("T and
F's") and the fried mozzarella we had as appetizers
were also very very good.

Good Food but crowded seating at restuarant and bar areas. Definately
worth any wait to get in or the cramped facilities though. They
have daily specials, but there is not a bad item on the menu. Price
is good and you're bound to run into someone you know here.
