This is a place to take a date. They have an extensive wine list and the steak is wonderful. I love Prime Rib, and here you get a choice of broiled or grilled. This is my favorite Steak House.

Great restaurant. One inch thick chops are terrific, also the baby back ribs are yummy!!

Wonderful steaks if you're a beef eater. However, it's a busy place and the wait is usually an extended stay. I would recommend it if you really want a nice meal but don't care about the wait. The Prime Rib is to die for!

i'm giving this an average rating because for what you spend on a meal here you could have cooked it at home and saved a whole lot plus enjoyed your own service. service was not all that great here.

I have found that the "hype" in the city is that this is "the" steak house... though in the long run.. its overpriced for what it makes. Additionally, there seems to be a repeated turnover of staff which leads one to question the management's understanding of what the clients are looking for beyond the food. <br>

The place has potential, though there is nothing spectacular here. The original cooks, and a few inovative and personable managers seem to be missing.

Overall, I think I am being generous with 3 stars, I thought the food was really overpriced, the wait for a table is really long. The service was exceptable, nothing to brag about. The food was good, a little tough, but it was hot and did arrive in a timely manner. Overall, a decent experience, but again, a little expensive.

The food is ok, but not really worth the high prices, and the waiters are not very friendly. We waited awhile for our meal and I was disappointed that it wasn't better.

The food is good, but the wait is usually long. The service isn't all that great, but the food usually makes up for it.

The Chop House located off Richmond Rd. in Lexington, KY. has an exquisite variety of steakhouse selections to choose from. Two of the most tasty appetizers I recommend are the Maryland Crabcakes priced at around $7-8 dollars, and the Spinach Queso and Chips priced around $6 dollars. The Chop House seasons their steaks with a special seasoning that is to die for. Although the steaks are tasty they are known for their chops! This restaurant also features fresh seafood and an extremely large selection of fine wines suitable for any connisseurs tastes. I highly recommend the PRIME RIB! You will be suprised to find that Steak sauce is not needed on any of their steaks due to the awesome flavor.
