Returned and I still love the food here. This is by far the best restaurant in Virginia for the price.

Leesburg's finest dining for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch in the marvelous atmosphere of an old converted bank. Outstanding items include the Peking duck quesadilla, cowboy omelette brunch with tenderloin chili, and "Mocha Ya Ya" dessert.

I was absolutly stunned by the service at this restaurant. I have yet to find better service in this country! The decor and service are more befitting for New York or Zurich than the charming town of Leesburg. The food was an excersize in delight and created a taste explosion in my mouth. As others have said so well..it is worth the detour!

I concur with the other members that this is a place that is well worth a detour. However dinner here is not for the faint hearted or the devoted follower of “Nouvelle Cuisine”. Here sauces rule and not by weight of cream alone. This is rich, and I mean rich food! If you are looking for simple “meat & potatoes with veggie on the side”, you have entered the wrong world, as your choices will be very limited. Each dish that we have sampled – fish and meat – was created or perhaps composed is a better word to maximize flavors, colors and contrasts. The cheerful staff will provide you with a list of specials that only add to the experience and make recommendations from a nice wine list. Our little adventurous group could not decide which dish they preferred from appetizer to main course. No one, alas, had room to sample the desert creations. But who is on a diet anyway.

When in Leesburg, this place is a must visit. Heck, it's worth a trip! What a wonderful place for dinner before or after a concert at the courthouse. Though the restaurant looks formal, don't be put off. Jeans are perfectly fine. The ladies who own the place used to have a small cafe around the corner, before opening Lightfoot. Many of the herbs are ground out back. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. I have never had a bad meal here so far. Everything works. The menu isn't very large but there seems to be something for everyone. The decor alone is worth a stop in and if you are having a special occasions, such as a wedding reception or something, this would be a fantastic place to hold it.

Stumbled into this one and don't regret it. In a converted old bank, the atmosphere seems very formal but everyone is welcome here, from families to tourists, to locals. Great for a date, a reception, a quick lunch. In a great location to tour Leesburg, Lightfoot serves up delicious food served by delightful waiters. If you just want to sit at the gorgeous bar and watch TV, they have that too. Food is well prepared and fresh. Stop by just once and you will be hooked.
