We just went in for a shake and some fries. Huge choices on the menu. Burgers smelled great.

This is a ver 50 style choice. Located in front of the movie theatre at Mission Valley. Friendly faces and great food for a great price.

This is an excellent 50's diner. They have great food, good service, and an awesome atmosphere. I have had the cheeseburgers and they are very good. Also the shakes are very good.

This place is pretty good. I always get burgers here and they are always nice and juicy. They've cooked it exactly how I've wanted it and they do it great every time. Waitresses aren't bad either! =) It's right next to the AMC 20 so it's great to get a burger and then go see a movie.

This is a pretty good restaurant to go to if you're going to be catching a movie at the amc and you don't feel like Seau's or Outback. Ruby's is much more family oriented and is the livelier and brighter of the three. Typical fifties style diner with good burgers, better shakes and servers clad in fifties style clothing.

Standard diner food with a '50s nostalgic look. The burgers are good, the shakes are better. They have a pretty good size menu, but when I go in there, I always feel like just getting a burger - it just seems to be the thing to order. If you're going to or coming from the movies next door, you should definately go here.

Average food. Great shakes, almost like Bob's Big Boy, but not quite. Nice location, great for the typical dinner and a movie date.

This restaraunt is very good. I recommend one of their shakes. They are great! The food is average. The atmosphere is very nice and the service has been good. They even have some guy walking around making balloon figures for the kids.

This place has two locations that I know of, one in the Mission Valley mall, next to the movie theatres, and one in Carlsbad's outlet mall. Both have the same 50's-inspired atmosphere, decor and outfitted employees. But the menu offers up a wide selection of burgers, salads, sandwhiches, tacos, etc. Better selection than I expected, especially because they had a lot a vegetarian like myself could choose from (pretty rare). Also, there malts are absolutely to die for. I could fill up on one of those alone. Their "skinny fries" (supposedly diet fries) don't taste any different than the regular fries if you ask me. Ah....less guilt. A great place to go if you want to hit a movie afterward next door. Service is usually standard. Lines are long on the weekend nights.
