The Pasta at Linguini's is some of the best I have ever had. And
all the entres are full portions, plenty for the average eater.
This restaurant scored a four with me because it was a friendly
place to eat with terrific food.

The key here is there is alot? Not from what I had ordered and the
service was sub-par, althought the bartenders where friendly.
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I know of better eateries
in Alameda. If you just want to sit havea pizza and watch some sports,
it is a good place to go and you won't be dissappointed if that is
all you are looking for.

I went to this restaurant based entirely on the reviews I
read here and I was not disappointed. We went on a Friday
night and we were seated right away. The service was very
prompt, bread brought to the table immediately. The food
was delicious! I ordered one of the heart healthy options,
which in most restaurants can be somewhat bland and
disappointing, but mine was excellent and full of flavor.
We also ordered the garlic bread which was unlike any I had
before eaten. The portions are extremely large, and all
entrees come with a salad, which was also exceptionally
good. I would definitely eat here again!

We are a group of 8 adults who go to dinner once a month to restaurants none of us had tried before.
Linguini's qualifies as one of the best we have choosen. The portions are huge! The service is friendly
and efficient. The atmosphere is casual, but not rowdy.
We made our reservations 2.5 weeks in advance, but when we got there, discovered that they had been
recorded for the week before, and we now had no reservation! No problem for the owner. He seated us in the
bar next door, paid for our drinks, got us seated in the restaurant within 20 minutes of our arrival (giving up his
own working space to give us enough room) and then gave us two huge orders of free appetizers.
Despite the smooth and professional handling of the reservation snafu, we would not have rated it so highly if the
food did not rate a 5 star.....but everything here did!!

Be sure to ask for the Garlic bread when you
visit. It's slathered with garlic, butter, olive oil,
and herbs (or so it appeared--the ingredients are a
secret)almost a meal by itself. I've found the service
timely and courteous during my three visits. Portions
_are_ large. Friends I've taken have gone back and also
enjoyed themselves. Definately worth the side trip if
you do not live in Alameda. (Take 29th St.
exit off 880, cross bridge onto Park--about 6 blocks on
your left.)

Best food in town. Great pasta (in huge servings, bring your
appetite), service a little slow when busy, but worth the wait,
folding wooden chairs not the most comfortable, great atmosphere,
owners generally on premises, good wine list.

The menu has a reasonable assortment of pasta dishes.
The ones I've tried have been good. The portions are LARGE,
too large in my opinion. Virtually everyone I've seen eat
there takes a "to-go" container out with them. The atmosphere is
casual and service can be slow when it's busy.

Linguini's Ristorante and their new "Pizza & Brew" are exceptional
locations. The original is a full flavored and fuull protion serving
winner. The modern pizza making next door never mimics the standard
pizza. Casual and friendly.
