When a favored eating establishment changes hands AND is given a new name, I confess to some cynical fear that all is not well. After all, why change something that is working? My fears were set to rest after the first meal at the "new" restaurant. The main menu has stayed basically the same and a secondary menu of Authentic Chinese-style, rather than our Americanized favs, is offered. The portions have gone back up in size and enjoy a greater vegetable variety if my favs (Chicken Chow Mein, Broccoli Beef & Curry Beef) are any indication and everything tasted great! The Egg Roll was fatter and had a very nice , yet subtle, spice and the Cho-Cho Beef was huge (if a little too juicy for my taste). That huge 'window' at the front counter, where To-go orders were placed and picked up, is gone & not missed. Restaurant decor will be familiar to all former patrons, but the lighting is brighter and the rooms 'seem' more spacious. Those big red double doors leading to the dining room, and whose "clunk" let those in back know that customers were entering or leaving, are gone now. The new owners are a Chef, who has worked at some of the "Better Known Chinese restaurants" here in Tulsa and his wife. We were waited on by their son, an OSU student, the night we came in. less
