Fine. have tofu in egg-drop soup. Better than Szechuan's. Beef can be tough. Lunch specials smaller than Szechuan's but offer choice white or brown rice. Pan fried noodles are better at Szechuan Taste as well as atmosphere.

The Pine Garden is my favorite place for lunch when in Exeter. The atmospere is nothing special but the food has been consistently good for the past 5+ years. Our favorites include the Ginger Chicken with Green Beans and the Twice-Cooked Pork. The sauces make the dish and they never over load the item with too much sauce. I never order the deep fried items so I can't comment on them but my son enjoys the General's Chicken. It is worth a try if you are in the area.

Not the cheapest place around, but quite satisfactory. My German friend wanted to eat Chinese one day, and we were coincidentally in Exeter, so we found a parking space, and there we were. My friend speaks Chinese, so he ordered for both of us, and I'm not sure it was on the menu. Basically, it was a big sampling of appetizers and main courses, with soup and rice and some dessert thrown in for good measure. My friend had beer and green tea; I had Perrier and coffee (not too good). I'm glad my friend spoke Chinese with the personnel because I found the one guy's English very difficult to understand. I was particularly fond of a sweet/sour chicken offering, and some very spicy ribs. We arrived right after the lunch rush, so the staff wasn't as hurried and the dining was leisurely. Exeter is about an hour from my house, so I won't come back often, but if I were in the area again, I'd make the effort.

Been eating here for about 20 years and have never gotten a bad dish. I am spoiled for all the other Chinese places because I compare the food to here. Never had an egg roll that wasn't crispy and delicious. The decor is not luxurious but it is tasteful. The wait staff is excellent (especially Roger).

This is one of the better Chinese Restaurants I've been to in a long time. The appetizers are not too greasy, and the specialty entrees are the best! The service here is very friendly and fast, and there always seems to be a table available no matter what time I arrive.

This place is wonderful. It has the best hot and sour seafood soup I have ever had. The food tastes fresh. The orange beef and orange chicken are very good. The staff is just great. They have a huge selection to choose from. The restaurant is also in a great location on Portsmouth Avenue in Exeter, NH.
