I'm not sure if I put the average entree price down very accurately,
but everything on Avanti's menu is pretty cheap and very tasty.
Great, fast, friendly service, very affordable, and convenient location
(near BU campus). There's also a carry out area for even faster
service and the dine in area is open until 11 most of the time.

I've heard some good stories about the resaurant in the days of
the previous owner. I had a chance to eat there in November of 2006. I've
ordered Fettuccine Alfredo (I think now they are called Linguine Alfredo)
which turned out to be a serving of mushy starchy overcooked pasta with
some flour slurry on top of it and a few slices of chicken. Grated Parmesan
cheese had no resemblance to even some mediocre Parmesan cheese - probably,
some substitue and a filler. The bread can be nice due to the high fat
content, but, it is not an Italian bread. As far as the motto "modest
prices" in reality you don't get the quality even for the
money that you pay. I would say it's a good place if you like overcooked
pasta glue and not a single "real" thing. "Italian"
is the last (if at all) word that comes to mind when eating there.

This location is a carry out hotspot for the Bradley students
and lunch crowd. I think the food is every bit as good as the other
locations.

Cheap food, and plenty of it! Pretty good fare, large portions.
The bread is a Peoria staple!

You can't consider yourself a Peorian until you've
tried Avantis. My ultimate favorite place to go when I was growing
up. They have wonderful service and excellent food. Food never
takes long to prepare and is always reasonable. I've tried
all three in the Peoria area, this one near Bradley, the one up
by the mall, and the one in East Peoria and they all are wonderful.
Free Italian bread at each table makes the trip worth the while.
If you have to eat anywhere in Peoria, go here.

Good for take-out, fast, good food reasonably priced. Parking
isn't the greatest, though.

The food is very good, and they have the prices to match. We live
just a few blocks from the Avanti's on University. We eat there
frequently. Last week we took our 10 month old granddaughter
with us. She does not have any teeth as of yet. I asked for a small
bowl of spagetti for her . They told me to buy the kids dinner, because
they didn't know how much to charge for a small bowl. I will not
eat there as much, even though the food is good. They did not cater
to our needs. She ate about an half ounce of spagetti, and a couple
bites of salad.
