Food is good, what you would expect for a fish house. The prices
are ok, not great, but for the most part the food makes up for that.
The atmosphere is nice, but the crowd starts to pour in early,
so be ready for a loud and crowded place if you're opting for
a late meal. An prepare yourself for a wait!
It's usually full, it's usually noisy, and it's
always serving great seafood, and a wide variety at that, not
to mention wonderful sauces and sides.

Helpful and friendly waitstaff help those not too familiar with
all of the entrees, without being snotty.
The menu is filled with choices and offers quite a selection for
any fish or non-fish lover. The wait-staff is excellent and very
friendly. The wait is ually long, so try and get there early, but
the food is well worth the wait, and the bill!

Jax is awesome! I love going to Jax at least once a week to check
out the specials that they have. The waitstaff is so knowledgeable
and friendly. I really enjoy drinking martini's at the bar
and checking out all the hip people. It's amazing that they
can have such fresh fish ina loanlocked state. Jax is my ABSOLUTE
favorite!

Very busy place, but the food is excellent - lots of college kids
hang out here - Food is great and I'm not even that big on sea
food... great menu too very creative - always had a good experience
here
The menu is highly imaginative well prepared. A wide selection
of seafood which changes relatively often, so quick returns
often surprise you with new entries to the menu. The place itself
is bare, with walls heavily graffittied with chalkings. Almost
always busy, especially during oyster happy-hours. The wait
staff is as knowledgable as they are friendly.

I ate there not too long ago and I did not find it all that great.
I had a salmon steak which was alright but the place is definitely
made more for appearences than quantity or quality. The place
was packed the whole time we were there and the brick walls made
it very loud. There is a nice look to the place though.
This little restaurant can really reel in the seafood. I absolutely
love the food here, especially the oyster meal or Tuna steak.
The place is rather small (and you might wait a bit on weekend nights)
but you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is great too,
but honestly a little loud when the place is packed. I think this
restaurant can easily compete with the fancy places in San Francisco
and beat them hands down!

This restaurant is just spectacular. The yellowfin tuna dish
was just incredible. This restaurant has the best seafood that
I have ever tasted in my life and I have been to excellent restaurants
in California, Michigan, and Colorado. Maybe Maine would have
better, but I doubt that they can beat the atmosphere that the
restaurant has in beautiful downtown Boulder, Colorado. I get
a chance to go to this restaurant again this fall when I fly back
to Colorado for an interview.

Excellent seafood in a raucous atmosphere. The thick yellowfin
tuna steak was grilled perfectly - slightly crispy outside and
rare in the middle...with an awsome sauce. The presentation
was very artsy -- especially for service at the bar the first time
I went. Select from a variety of infused vodka cocktails and the
expected local micro-brews on tap. Expect a long wait on the stoop
outside amongst all the college kids. I guess I went to the wrong
college, I never found food this good near my campus.
