While the classic, Art Deco style of Downtown's beautiful, historic Hilton Netherland Hotel never tires or ages, the hotel's renowned fine dining restaurant, Orchids, returned in early 2005 after a five-year respite. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the house restaurant Palm Court is placed on the back burner while the menu and settings take on a much more formal tone to showcase Orchids' fine-dining flair. Nibble seared Nantucket Bay scallops, which are delicately served with fresh snails and truffles, or warm up fine-dining-style with the restaurant's famous Minnesota wild-rice soup. Flat out the best restaurant I have ever been to!! The location is awesome, food excellent and the service was world class. We visited on our honeymoon and it was well worth the price. I highly recommend Orchids to everyone, especially if it's for a special or romantic occassion.

went their a few years ago for my birthday, the waiter made a comment about not accepting the entertainment card because they want to discourage the locals from coming because they are loud. i don't think he realized that i was a local and if it wasn't for someone taking me there i would have walked out immediately. they also messed up on my order by bringing me another dish. patricia tan(gm) should have been notified.

One of the few places where it is nearly impossible to say anything negative! Great location, great atmosphere, great food. Find out what it is like to feel pampered at a buffet! Yes, it's easy to spend hours eating, talking and relaxing.

To die for food. Unbelievable selection and presentation at the Sunday brunch. You wish you could take doggie bags! Great atmosphere, great service...after all, the Halekulani is a TOP hotel. Plan to spend at least two hours eating, talking, and relaxing. Reservations highly recommended!
