Been there, done that!!!! My recommendation would be, you should try it....ONCE!!!! The server was a bit unpolished, however, he gave it all he had to offer! Perhaps a bit more polish and training and he could be a real good server on the floor. However, nothing and no one could have saved this dining experience! The food went from bad to worse! I always wondered what happened to Seafood Shanty, I guess now I know!

An hour after we walked through door on a Saturday night, our food arrived at our table. While we waited, we saw a pile of golden brown hubcaps that turned out to be the largest onion rings on the planet. We ordered Salmon and the Saturday night special which consisted of a half lobster stuffed with Crab Imperial, a piece of scrod, and a stuffed Quahog, which we think is a New England clam, but was the best tasting of all. We ordered the garlic potatoes with one meal and the "Smashed Potatoes, " potato chunks fried golden brown with garlic and Bay Seasoning sprinkled on top. "All in all an excellent feast." Despite the long wait and the frenzied atmosphere, our waiter saw to our needs and made sure that our visit was superb. This is a great family restaurant. We recommend it to one and all and we will be back.
