El pollo loco is great in some aspects , pretty mediocre in others. I got a great big box filled with cicken breasts and legs for just a little over 1 dollars. The meat itself was good and the beans and rice are ok. What really irked me about el pollo loco was the salsa, it is really thin and almost seemed to have a film at the top when i opened the container, maybe i am neurotic but that is gross! It is hard to compare this and taco bell because they are two different beasts but if it came down to the two, I would choose taco bell!

Great food, good portions, and fantastic salsa. The tortilla soup is tasty. I like that the food is fresh and service is fast. The family portions are just right and include plates and utensils. I love this place.

I don't award 5 stars very often, but though it doesn't look very nice to see the chicken split in half, flattened and pressed flat out on the grill, the results are outstanding. For a fast food chain, this is the cream of the crop, such a shame it hasn't made it to the rest of the country! Just about the best grilled chicken I've ever eaten and that includes backyard barbeques, where I tried to duplicate their results but came up short!

Great flame broiled chicken that I have ever had. I crave it at least once or twice a month, maybe even more. There salsa is the best of anywhere I have ever tried. Fast service and always gives me exra salsa and lemons when I request it thru the drive up window. Our kids really enjoy the food there too.

The best fast food chicken around. Their chicken is flame broiled. They serve it in a variety of ways. Their salsa bar is terrific, and the combination plates are a lot of food. Good food all around, quick service, they offer drive through service and many healthy items on the menu.
