Built in 1750, Old Drovers Inn is a Relais & Chateau hotel and restaurant
(there are only four quaint rooms upstairs). The restaurant,
a stopover for cowboys herding their cattle to city markets,
offers superb regional cuisine and a fine selection of French
and American wines. The atmosphere is very colonial in taste
- dark and romantic. Charlie the bartender makes hearty double
cocktails. If you are not used to cocktails of this strength,
perhaps you should order a single. The sticky toffee pudding
reminded me of Scotland. A great weekend getaway.
