At the doorstep to Yellowstone National Park, the K-Bar is a Gardiner
institution. Boasting the best pizza in Gardiner, the K-Bar
is a regular stop for locals and "tourons" alike. Walk in, try
to find a seat, order a draft or a pitcher and a pizza and soak up
the atmosphere. Filled with locals, most of which work for the
park service or attached organizations, you can hear lots of
talk about Yellowstone, where the fishing is and where the fires
are. The pizza is excellent. Try the large combo! The crusts are
made as you watch. The toppings are plentiful and tasty. I like
the sausage alot. Sandwiches are also available, but you generally
see everyone ordering pizza. Service sometimes can be non-existent.
Walk up to the bar and order or starve. Prices are very reasonable
and the beer is cold. Try the Black Dog Ale ("no whiners") or the
Headstrong Ale complete with its bison logo. Liquor is also served
