Just ate there, and the service was as bad as the food----could be the
auction sign on the front lawn(partition sale?)set for Sept 2.I would
advice anyone holding gift certificates to use them quick-----or,
just don't bother---yes, it was that bad!!!!!

I have been going to Jessie's now since a friend of mine gave
me a gift certificate for Christmas. Now, I like to make my reservation
the same night I attend, because I am one of the folks who happen
to love the window seats on the porch. If you do not reserve one
in advance, they are filled by Sat night. Of course, if you go on
a slower night, you will not have to deal with all of the hustle
and bustle of such a busy restaurant. I love everything on the
menu, but love to pick something that is offered on their specials
board. Two weeks ago, the chef offered a wonderful fresh baked
Salmon, that was topped with a crust of seasoned cajon spices,
and served with a light orange sauce. The veal is wonderful, the
soups divine, and are all freshly made on the premises. Leave
room for dessert, because they are super!! Last week I had a mini
rum cake made with lady fingers, and topped with a sweet, strawberry
riccota cheese that was filled with chocolate and almonds. The

I visited this fine restaurant last year for New Years dinner.
I was surprised at how good the service was and how great the food
was also. Although they offered a full menu, I had the baked stuffed
shimp on special and my wife had the Salmon with Champagne Cream
sauce. It was excellent. We now go back at least once a month and
we have seen a steady increase of business from the changes made
in this time. The owners added bright red napkins and table clothes
to all the tables, and pretty water goblets. The food seems to
be even better, and the desserts are to make room for. I love the
Creme Brulle, but my wife still says the Appple Crisp is her favorite
with vanilla ice-cream. We were told the owners make all the desserts
on the premise, as well as the fresh soups(try the Bisque..filled
with sea-food!!) and also the sauces for fish are so orignial.
Give this one a try..it deserves to be a steady friend to feed your
belly and your soul.

The restaurant named Jessie's is located in a lovely old colonal
style building, which was once the home of one of the towns vips.
The decor of the building is very romantic, with lots of nostaglic
picutues of the woman, Jessie, whose name graces the restaurant.
The restaurant is known for their Italian fare, but they also
have very good fresf fish, succulent veal, and many chicken dishes
also. The soups are all made freshly on the premises, and the desserts
are divine! Some of the veal specials I have had, were Veal Horseradish,
which features shrimp, sea-legs, mushrooms, green onions, and
grape tomatoes..and this wonderul dish served with a horseradish
cream sauce is served over angel hair pasta. I have also tried
Veal Saltimbocca and Veal Diana, and both were very good.
There is a very good wine list, with some of my favorite Australian
wines listed at a reasonable price. Appitizers are unusual,
such as a brushetta with artichoke and eggplant baked with melted
