Huh??? Clean bathrooms??? Are we talking about the China Pearl? I think this restaurant is over-hyped. They used to be the winner of the Best of Boston awards but not anymore. The washrooms (if that is any indication of how much the restaurant cares about hygiene and cleaniness) was absolutely disgusting - huge pools of water on the floor, dirty toilet seats, mismatched and cracked tiles, etc. I am surprise they passed their health inspections. Hey, and I am chinese and have traveled the world - so it is not like I am being naive.

IMHO, the owners should pour back some of their profits into renovating the restaurant (change the thread-bare carpets), renovate the bathroom, etc. spruce up the decor.

If you want to try another really good dim-sum restaurant, try Hei La Moon (88 Beach). I was so happy when that restaurant opened. HLM is huge, clean, nice tablecloths, nice tables, great dim sum. I only go back to CP maybe once a year. What a change!!! The irony is that, according to an article in Google, HLM is apparently owned by the same people who own CP.

I was happy to see such a clean resturant. Most chinese food places have really dirty bathrooms. I am a coinsieur of chinese buffet houses and resturants and this place is the best in the country as far as I am concerne, they care for every ascpet of your dining experience.

A great place if you like asian, indian, thai... food. The location

is on the edge of Chinatown which is a bit seedy. The entrees are

big and not very pricey. If you don't know how to use chopsticks,

you need to ask for silverware. The restaurant was clean and the

Nice chinese food and the service is good. Their chicken, beef

and shrimp fried rice is the best. Nice place for a take out if in

the mood for chinese food.

I ordered the Beijing duck for $12. It was not as good as I thought, but then again, I am a picky person. Overall, it is a good restaurant with lots of people. Don't expect to be greeted with lots of service because everyone seemed too busy to care.

Good spot for dim sum, arrive early on the weekends, it's a noisy, chaotic dining experience. Watch yourself, the tab can run up quickly for the dim sum foods.

I was taken here for dim sum by a friend, and it was generally a good experience. I did not feel hampered by my lack of knowledge, as the serving persons were very nice, but I was not certain what was what as there were no easily visible menus. The food was excellent, even if it was all a surprise.
