Certain things are accepted as absolute truths, without argument.
As sure as Valley summers still sizzle, Pizzeria Bianco still
serves the best gourmet pizza with the finest, freshest ingredients.
And you'll have to wait nearly two hours to taste them. The
pizzas are so good that every major food magazine and TV cooking
show has featured Chris Bianco. The question isn't whether
he serves the best pizza in town, it's whether Pizzeria Bianco
is the best restaurant of any kind. Some national magazines insist
it is. Bianco could move from his cramped bistro in Heritage Square
to warehouse-size digs in Scottsdale and rake in a lot more money.
But he won't do it, for the same reason he stopped serving
lunch. It would leave him drained, and he'd be unable to lavish
his personal attention on every dish that leaves the kitchen

This is my far the best pizza in Arizona. The old brick building
adds to the ambiance. Located within historic Hertiage Square.
The wait is long, but there's always Bar Bianco open next
door.

Wow! This place was recommended to me by several friends and I
see why. Very ambient little pizza joint with an upscale feel.
The pizza itself was out of this world. Good service and seemed
to have an outstanding clientele base. If you're downtown in
Phoenix this brick oven pizza stop is a must.

I have friends who proudly comment, "My favorite pizzas are not
the ones they serve here in the States, but the thin-crusted ones
I ate the last time I went to Italy." I tell them, "Then go to Pizzeria
Bianco, you snob." This is not your average pizza pie. Perfect
crusts, cooked right on the stone, with traditional toppings:
fresh basil, Parmesan Reggiano, pistacios, fresh garlic, etc.
The toppings are sparse, commensurate with the light crust upon
which they sit. And you do not order toppings a la carte, but rather
choose a pre-designed work of art from Chris Bianco's hand. The
pizzas are made for one, so please add a wonderful salad or some
antipasto to your order.
But I really recommend this place because there is no restaurant
in the Phoenix area with a friendlier atmosphere than Chris Bianco's.
He will always try to make personal contact with you, even as he
personally moves his creations in and out of the wood-burning
oven, and his whole staff follows ...

The owner is a Bronx native who's so-called `secret' is wood fired
brick oven & a constant desire for a quality Pizza. The crusts
are not too thick or too thin or bready, but tasty enough to bring
you back again and again! Many varieties & topping selections
available from imported cheeses to homemade sausage. Great
antipato salad along with several good sandwichs on homemade
bread. Nice for a mid-week lunch or weekend downtown dinner before
a sports event.
