Food was not that great, but the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely suggest other options before you go here. There are many other places close by.

We went there for a banquet (150 people). The service was outstanding. The food was excellent. We were all served, fed and the tables were cleaned in less than an hour. We haven't eaten a regular dinner there but we will soon. A very good experience.

Nice atmosphere. Looks like an old log fishing lodge. Loved the Pan-seared Trout! Delicious, and great sauce on it too. The Clam Chowder was also great - it actually had a lot of clams in it. The service was great. I sure wish it was closer to home! We were there on a Saturday night and the place was almost empty! Guess Rockfordians don't know a good thing when they see it. (Or maybe I'm just used to the huge crowds around Chicago).
